Frequently asked questions
What is Title Case?
Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word, like a book or article title: "The Quick Brown Fox". It is the standard format for headings, titles and proper names.
What is sentence case?
Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence and leaves everything else in lowercase (except what you typed as proper nouns may be lowered too). It reads like normal writing and is best for cleaning up ALL-CAPS text.
What does "Remove extra spaces" do?
It collapses every run of spaces, tabs and line breaks into a single space and trims the ends. It is handy for text copied from PDFs and web pages, which often carries messy double spaces.
Does case conversion work for Urdu text?
The Urdu script has no letter case, so case buttons apply to English and other Latin-alphabet text. Urdu text in the box is left unchanged by case conversion (the spaces cleanup still works).
