Loan EMI Calculator with Amortization Schedule

Plan car, home, and personal loans: monthly EMI, total interest, and a year-by-year repayment table.

Before signing any loan in Pakistan — a car loan from a commercial bank, a home loan, a personal loan, or even a financed motorcycle — one question matters most: what will the monthly installment actually be, and how much interest will you pay in total? Banks quote annual rates and loan officers give ballpark figures, but borrowers who cannot see the full repayment picture often discover too late that they are paying far more interest than expected.

NexToolz's free loan EMI calculator gives you the complete picture in seconds. Enter the loan amount in rupees, the annual interest rate, and the loan term in years, and it computes your fixed monthly EMI using the standard reducing-balance formula that banks in Pakistan apply. Beyond the headline number, it shows total interest payable and total repayment — the two figures that reveal a loan's true cost.

The yearly amortization table is where the real insight lives: it breaks every year of the loan into principal paid, interest paid, and remaining balance. You will notice that in the early years most of your EMI goes toward interest, not the principal — which is exactly why prepaying part of a loan early saves so much money. Compare different tenures before you commit: a longer loan lowers your monthly EMI but can double the total interest. All calculations run locally in your browser, with no personal or banking data collected.

Frequently asked questions

How is EMI calculated?
EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n ÷ ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100), and n is the number of monthly installments. This is the reducing-balance formula banks in Pakistan use.
What is a reducing-balance loan?
Interest is charged only on the remaining balance, so as you repay the principal each month, the interest portion of your EMI shrinks and the principal portion grows. This is the standard method for car, home, and personal loans.
Why does the amortization table show more interest in early years?
Because the balance is highest at the start, so more of each early EMI goes to interest. That is also why prepaying part of the loan early reduces total interest so dramatically.
Should I choose a shorter or longer loan term?
A shorter term means higher monthly EMIs but much less total interest. Use the calculator to compare both scenarios and pick the shortest term whose EMI fits your monthly budget comfortably.
Is my financial data private?
Yes. Every calculation happens in your browser — no loan details are uploaded, stored, or shared with anyone.

Why use this tool?

A loan's real cost is not the monthly payment alone. Seeing total interest and the full amortization schedule month by month shows how much of each payment is principal, how extra payments could shorten the term, and whether a longer tenure's lower EMI is worth its much higher total cost.
